Did anyone also get this email from MSN account? I suspect it is a fraud!!

Hi, guys,

Today I got this email from "Msn Processing <payments@msn-network.com>" saying that I have to submit my information to them again since MSN has lost my info due to a technical problem. After I clicked the Secure Application link in the email, it starts a new window and asks me to input user name, password and to my surprise, my credit card information. I stopped immediately and I suspect it is a smart fraud that happens right at the time that MSN messenger does not work properly. The new pop-up's URL is http://www.explore-msn.com/ (It even asks you to install Cyrillic language support)

Did anyone get the same email in your MSN email box? (my friends who use hotmail haven't got any). As I am not 100% sure whether it is an internet fraud, I do not believe there is a reason for MSN to ask for the billing information from a free account holder.

I am looking forward to your opinions and I hope those who have got the same email to be cautious.

    • delete it.
    • 网页的地址实际上是http://www.explore-msn.com/indexxx.php?, 而且submit后的action是billinfo.php. 很明显不是MSN发的,MSN不会用php
      • I would agree, although I am not familiar with .php.
    • I used my boss' credit card, haha.
    • Phishing.
