Please help me and let me know what I should do. Thanks.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop and some DVD movie discs. I can play some DVDs, but some of DVDs just would not run at all. It is very strange.
When I ran them on my office computer, all played well.
What should I do with my Sony Vaio to solve the problem? Please help.
I checked on Microsoft site and followed their instructions to make sure DVD movie discs will run automatically on my computer. But it did not solve the problem.
