It will be proved to be right or wrong, after facts are found to support or negate this statement. But we cannot say the correctness of this statement before those facts are uncovered. I'm afraid a more correct way to evaluate this statement is, that there are no significant evidence to make a conclusion on whether those evidences and rules were designed by a super being and let human race believe.
So, it doesn't contradict with science to believe there is a super being. If you believe there is a super being, this belief will not prevent you from working on science. Certainly, it will be another story if you believe that a super being creates everything and there is no need for human being to figure them out.
