I know that I can count on you to make my voice heard.

As we all heard from the media about the tragedy that happened in China, I have to say that I am deeply disappointed by the current Government of Canada.

Not long ago, Mr. Haper was critical of the Chinese Government's human rights abuses, because Canadians care about Chinese people's human rights in China.

Now, in face of this tragedy, it is time to show that Canadians indeed are there to help. Thousands of parents lost their only child; tens of people are suffering, and urgently in need of help, but the Government of Canada chose to stay silent. Is this the true color of our Government?

NO, I hope NOT.

I strongly urge the Government of Canada and Mr. Harper take initiatives to help the vicitims of the earthquake in China.

Please ACT NOW.

Please email your MP to urge Canada to pledge aid to help quake vicitms. while donating online by ourselves, we should also try all means to urge the government of Canada to send money or supplies to help vicitims of the earthquake. Canada has been so vocal about human rights in China. Now it's time for the Harpar government to show they really care about the Chinese people's human rights. Thank you for your email. We appreciate the time you took to communicate your concerns about the government's lack of aid to China after the earthquake.

Please let me assure you that Martha is aware of your position as I have passed your email along to her. She and the rest of the federal Liberal caucus will continue to demand that Prime Minister Harper and Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier shape up and help the Chinese people.
